What areas do you serve?We service all the following towns: Amesbury, Andover, Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Haverhill, Lawrence, Lowell, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, North Billerica, Rowley, Salem NH, Tewksbury, and Tyngsborough. Don’t see your town but live near one of those towns, we still might be able to work with your family!

Who do you provide services for?At this time we only work with children with autism, but recently there was a mandate passed that requires insurance to pay for ABA for children with down syndrome. Reach out so we can help advocate for your child!

What service do you offer?We offer in-home therapy using a direct service model of ABA (a minimum of 8 hours per week) or a parent training model. We also offer services at our clinic for ages 3-6 in our preschool readiness program. Lastly, we offer speech services and accept some insurance for speech therapy.

What is your preschool/kindergarten readiness program?Our specialized clinic is designed to support children with autism in building the foundational skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten. We’ve created an environment and a dedicated team that fosters growth in key areas like following group instructions, navigating transitions, developing play and social skills, and building independence. Everything we do is intentionally structured to help children thrive in a classroom setting and beyond.

Where do services take place?Our sessions are offered in-clinic (ages 3-6) and in-home or community settings depending on the child’s needs and family preferences.

Do you accept insurance?Yes, we accept BCBS, Masshealth, Optum and Harvard Pilgrim. We also offer private pay options as well.

What does a typical ABA session look like?Each session is tailored to the child's needs, but it may include play-based learning, communication skills, and behavior support strategies.

How long are therapy sessions?The number of therapy hours per week varies based on your child’s individual needs but typically ranges from 10 to 40 hours per week. As a company, we aim for a minimum of 8 hours per week to maximize effectiveness of therapy. We follow block schedules (9-11:30 ; 12-2:30; 3-5; 5:30-7:30; 4-7). Who will be working with my child?A team of trained behavior technicians (BTs) will work directly with your child under the supervision of a BCBA, who designs and oversees the treatment plan.

Are your staff trained?Yes! At BEST, we are highly selective in hiring individuals who will work with your child. Beyond skills, we prioritize compassion and a genuine commitment to making a difference. Once hired, each behavior technician undergoes six weeks of in-house training led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). During this time, they are trained to mastery in essential competency areas. To ensure continued excellence, our team receives ongoing evaluations and support to maintain the highest standards of care.

How do you track progress?We use data-driven methods to monitor progress, adjust goals as needed, and provide regular updates to families.

Do you offer caregiver support?Caregiver involvement is key! We provide caregiver training sessions tailored to your needs to help families learn strategies for supporting their child’s progress outside of therapy sessions.

How long is the waitlist for services?Wait times vary depending on availability, but we strive to work with families as soon as possible. Our morning/afternoon blocks typically have immediate openings, but our after school blocks are about a year at this time.
